The Sewing

The sewing is pretty straight forward. Most designs are quite basic and omit complicated closure executions. But there is something for everybody. And even if you are somewhat of a sewing novice, you’ll be able to find a rather simple yet beautiful tunic that is quite easy to make.

Back to our Style E from the previous examples. Here a detail pic from the instruction page. All sewing steps are numbered and you can visually see how the garment gets put together.

In this case:
1. Attach the pocket
2. Sew the sust darts
3. Sew the pleats in the front
4. Sew back dividing seam
5. Close shoulder seams
6. Attach the neck facing
7. Close side seam
8. Hem the body
9. Close the sleeve seams
10. Hem the sleeves
11. Sew the sleeve into the body.

Some of the steps will give you detailed illustrated instructions. All of which are pretty self explanatory. If there is a step that seems a bit complicated, check in the numbered instruction section, sometimes they refer to a page number on which you can find more detailed instructions.
